First bead weave bracelet!

Hey everyone! I just wanted to share a bracelet that I attempted to make by watching YouTube videos by Offthebeadedpath. She is awesome. I did this one in two tones of pink and used crystal montee's for the bling. Leave a comment at the bottom and let me know what you think! Would you like to see me do a learners video on this? Sunday clean up

Yesterday, was a day clean up for us. We have been wanting to clear out all the briars from this big tree out in our back yard. So, yesterday we got all the tools together and got after it. This is what it looks like now after all 3 hours of very hard labor (I haven't done hard labor in years!). It still needs a few things done to it but we had to stop because it started raining. We were under a tornado watch until 9 PM! Weird weather this year here in Arkansas.

As for crafty stuff, I have working on a quilt that I have to have done very soon. Other than that, I haven't done a whole lot. Have been dealing with serious back pain off and on for the past 2 weeks. I think I have a pinched nerve somewhere. Grrrr.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. Now it's Monday which means it's time for another wonderful crafty week!

Black Friday Madness

Hey crafters! Did you all have a great Thanksgiving? We did here at my house. Well, you know how crazy it is on black Friday morning, right? NOT HERE! I was nuts. We went to Target and swept the store for deals and in line and out the door in just under an hour! Very well organized and it worked. We went to the Wal-Mart on the other side of town only to find the parking lot with only a few cars in it? There were deals still there and no lines? Wow it was great. Hope everyone gets a break this year and gets in and out of their stores quick. Happy shopping!

Long time gone

Hello my lovely crafty peeps! I hope everyone is starting to get into the holiday spirit. I know I am! I don't have a video ready for you today but I do have some great news to share. My mom's boyfriend is out of ICU and is now back home in Arkansas! Glad that's over and a few good things did come out of all this!
His daughter has come out of her coma and is doing good. She has a long road ahead of her but many prayers are being heard as she gets better each day. Second, mom's BF has quit smoking since he went into the hospital!!! Kuddos Gary! He has tried a few times but put them out saying it just didn't taste good! Awesome! Lastly, while he was in ICU, they had to suction some stuff out of his lungs and since he has been back home, he has lots more energy and doesn't need his oxygen hardly at all. A couple of days ago he was outside doing some things and had to use his inhaler but he did very well. I'm so happy for him to feeling better. Thanks everyone for keeping him in your thoughts and prayers.
I will close for now but I am working on a Christmas tag series for 2012 that I will be doing videos on. I also have a Christmas card kit that will be available to purchase to go along with the series or you can use the kit for whatever you want! Lots of goodies included. More details soon!

Close friend update

Hello everyone. This post has nothing to do with crafts. My moms boyfriend ended up in ICU on Sunday and is still in ICU but now he is responding so they may take him off the ventilator today. Fingers crossed! He had an allergic reaction to one of his medicines and it made him breakout in hives and his tongue swelled so much that he couldn't keep it in his mouth. It was a good thing mom was with him and got him to ER in time. They said 10 more minutes he would not have made it. Kuddos to mom!!
Anyway, they are taking good care of him at Lakeland medical center in Michigan.
They went to Michigan because his daughter was in the hospital and thought that she wouldn't make it. She had bad lung infection along with pneumonia. Bad combo. She is awake and responsive now as well! More prayers are needed that they continue to be strong and push through these diffcult times. My mom has been by his side the whole time and she won't leave without him. I will post an update as I get them. Thanks to everyone in advance about PRAYERS for these people!

Today's card: theme is love!

There is always someone that could use a "pick me up" at any time. Nice to have cards like this one on hand for those times. I was inspired to make this card from a video that Kristina Werner "starofmay" on YouTube. She made a heart out of buttons and made a card. This was an olddd video but I still love making cards with buttons made into a shape. I hope you enjoy this card and try to make a card with a shape out of buttons! Please post pictures of your creations in the post section below! I would love to see them all.

Today's card: theme is Christmas

Here is a card I came up with while playing around with my Silhouette SD. I love my Silhouette SD alot. It does GREAT detail work. This tree was only $0.99 in the Silhouette store and that is just a great deal. I love being able to only have to purchase the images that I want instead of wasting money on a whole cartridge that I will never use most of the images on it. Thank you Silhouette America for such a great cutting machine and the program it uses!
